Upgrade to AVG FREE! version 8.0
 Instructions and Help.

AVG 8.0 Free System Requirements:
· Windows 2000 Professional w/SP4 + Update Rollup 1
· Windows XP Home and Professional Editions w/SP2
· Windows XP Professional x64 Edition w/SP1
· Windows Vista - All Versions

** Windows 95, 98, 98SE and ME are no longer supported.

Step 1 = Go Here --> AVG FREE! Download to get your copy of the new AVG Free! 8.0 setup file. Download and save to your computer to install later.

** The setup file is more than 46MB in size, Hi-speed Internet required to download. Dialup customers can call me for options.

Step 2 = Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and Uninstall AVG Free! 7.5

Click on start - Go to All Programs - Look for AVG Program Group and use the Uninstall Option found there.

** Older Versions of AVG FREE! must be uninstalled before you can install the new version.

Step 3 = Now you are ready to install the new version of AVG FREE! 8.0 During the install I recommend you just hit "next" or "continue" on "most" setup options.

However there are 2 options I would have you consider making a choice. One is to install the AVG Toolbar. I recommend not installing the toolbar as it has no real function and is just a Yahoo! sponsored search toolbar. And towards the end it will ask if you would like to sign up for support thru the AVG Forums. This is not the same as phone support and I would guess most users would find this option useless.
